Did someone say SPOOK-tacular? As Halloween approaches, children everywhere look forward to dressing up as their favorite Halloween characters for exciting trick-or-treating and school events. However, for some families, the cost of costumes can be a burden. Four years ago, our Scott & Wallace team was made aware that some students from low-income households would otherwise be unable to afford a new costume this year leading up to schools’ annual Character Day, Trunk or Treat events, and the Halloween holiday itself.
We were thrilled to visit Ruediger, John G. Riley, and Apalachee Elementary this fall and donate over 150 Halloween costumes as a part of our Spooktacular Halloween surprise. Children were able to look through the racks of costumes, pick their favorite, and try them on until they found their perfect fit. Each child also received a brand new trick-or-treat bag of their very own accompanied by their first bundle of goodies to kick off the week of festivities.
“We look forward to this event each year and have an absolute blast interacting with the teachers and students at these schools as they get in the Halloween spirit,” Robert Scott, partner at Scott & Wallace explains.
From superheroes to princesses, our firm could not be more thankful for this opportunity to provide fun costumes and bring smiles to the younger members of our community.
We would like to give a HUGE thank you to the school principals and staff for their help in this event and the chance to create some smiles in the community. To learn more about the amazing schools of Ruediger, John G. Riley, and Apalachee Elementary, please visit https://www.leonschools.net/ .
