Overview And Experience

Robert Scott is a seasoned trial lawyer who has built his career around one purpose: fighting for people who have been injured. In 2010, at just twenty-seven, he co-founded Scott & Wallace LLP alongside his law partner, Clint Wallace. The results came quickly. By twenty-nine, Robert had secured his first recovery exceeding $500,000. At thirty-one, he tried his first wrongful death case to a jury verdict, and by thirty-two, he had won his first multimillion-dollar recovery.

In 2021, Robert served as lead counsel in a case that produced a seven-figure verdict, earning recognition as one of the Top 100 Verdicts in Florida that year. Since the firm’s founding, he has personally resolved more than 10,000 injury and wrongful death cases and recovered over $250 million for his clients. Under his stewardship, Scott & Wallace LLP has been ranked among the Best Law Firms in America by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers in America.

Before launching the firm, Robert served as a felony prosecutor, trying serious criminal cases and sharpening the courtroom instincts that define his practice today. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Georgia, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. He is an active member of the Florida Justice Association, where he holds EAGLE membership, and the Capital City Justice Association.

Robert graduated magna cum laude from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law.

Recognition and Honors

Robert’s work has earned him consistent recognition from his peers. In 2014, at thirty-two, he received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell—the highest mark awarded for legal ability and ethical standards.

From 2019 through 2022, Super Lawyers named Robert a Rising Star, an honor reserved for just 2.5 percent of qualifying attorneys under 40 in Florida. In 2024, his first year of eligibility, he was named to Super Lawyers in personal injury, a list limited to the top 5 percent of practicing lawyers in the state. He was selected again in 2025, and once more in 2026.

Robert has also been recognized by Best Lawyers since 2021, a peer-reviewed publication honoring the top 5 percent of attorneys in private practice nationwide. He is a member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and holds a Superb 10.0 rating on Avvo.

Community and Philanthropy

Robert believes that success carries a responsibility to give back, and under his leadership, Scott & Wallace LLP has become deeply rooted in service across North Florida and South Georgia.

Each year, the firm funds the Scott & Wallace Holiday Turkey Giveaway, providing meals for more than 250 families during the Christmas season. Over the past decade, the program has distributed more than $100,000 in turkeys to families in need.

Through a partnership with Leon County Schools, the firm created the Winning Classrooms Initiative, which honors one outstanding teacher each month of the school year. Each recipient receives an Apple iPad, a classroom donation, public recognition on the firm’s digital billboards, and additional prizes.

The firm also donates more than 150 Halloween costumes each year to Title I elementary schools, along with over 50 winter coats and 50 pairs of shoes for children in need. Scott & Wallace LLP has contributed over $10,000 to the Conley Elementary Food Pantry and annually funds the Taylor Moseley Memorial Scholarship at Lincoln High School. The firm makes many other significant donations throughout the region as well—often quietly, and without recognition.

Florida State University Partnership

As a proud alumnus, Robert is honored that Scott & Wallace LLP has entered a multiyear partnership with Florida State University Athletics as the Official Injury Lawyers of the Florida State Seminoles. The partnership allows the firm to support and celebrate FSU’s student-athletes while also honoring the educators and difference-makers in the communities it serves, through on-field recognition and creative community outreach.

Personal

Robert lives in Tallahassee with his wife, Darby, and their two children, Tatum and Bodie. Away from the courtroom, he enjoys saltwater fly fishing, golf, and local sporting events—and can most often be found cheering on his kids at their games and school performances or coaching his son’s baseball teams.
