We recently represented a family of four, each of whom suffered minor injuries in a car accident. The at fault driver, who was under the influence of drugs, was a professional mover and was driving his company’s vehicle after hours. He pulled out in front of our client’s vehcile, violating the right of way. The result was a high impact collision. After being retained, we threatened a lawsuit including a claim for puntive damages against the driver and his company. The defendant company eventyually settled the claims prior to the commecement of litigation.
