As temperatures drop in Tallahassee, many local families face the challenge of keeping their children warm throughout the winter months. Recognizing this need, Scott & Wallace proudly launched its Warm Hearts, Warm Coats initiative — a community giveback effort dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to a brand-new, high-quality winter coat.
This season, the firm donated 60 brand-new puffer coats to students at Riley Elementary School, helping ensure children stay warm, confident, and ready to learn.
Supporting Tallahassee’s Students
For the partners at Scott & Wallace, giving back to Tallahassee’s schools is deeply personal.
“We believe every child deserves to feel cared for, supported, and warm during the winter season,” said Robert Scott, Partner at Scott & Wallace. “Our community has given us so much, and it’s our responsibility — and our honor — to give back in meaningful ways. Riley Elementary is filled with bright, resilient students, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support them.”
The students received coats in a variety of sizes and colors, all brand-new and selected with comfort and durability in mind.
A School Grateful for the Support
Riley Elementary School Principal Maurice Stokes expressed deep appreciation for the firm’s generosity.
“These coats will make a tremendous difference for our students and their families,” Principal Stokes shared. “We are profoundly grateful for Scott & Wallace’s compassion, consistency, and commitment to our school. Their support ensures our children stay warm, prepared, and focused throughout the winter months.”
A Strong Partnership with Leon County Schools
Leon County Schools Superintendent Rocky Hanna also shared his gratitude for the ongoing partnership.
“Scott & Wallace has long been a champion for our schools, our teachers, and our students,” said Superintendent Hanna. “Their dedication to the children of Leon County reflects what community leadership should look like. We’re thankful not only for this generous coat donation, but for the continued commitment they show to public education and the families we serve.”
A Commitment Beyond the Courtroom
Scott & Wallace’s service to the community extends far beyond their work as personal injury attorneys. Through initiatives like Warm Hearts, Warm Coats, the firm continues to demonstrate its belief that caring for the community — especially its children — is a responsibility they are proud to uphold.
This winter, 60 Riley Elementary students will walk into the season feeling warm, supported, and valued. And for Scott & Wallace, that’s exactly what this initiative is all about.
