At Scott & Wallace, supporting educators and celebrating excellence in our local schools is both an honor and a privilege. Each month, our Winning Classroom of the Month initiative recognizes outstanding teachers across Leon County who go above and beyond to shape the future of our community.
For January, we are proud to recognize Mrs. Krista Wilson, a dedicated 5th grade teacher at Killearn Lakes Elementary School, whose impact reaches far beyond the classroom.
According to Principal Jenny Blair, Mrs. Wilson is a true cornerstone of the Killearn Lakes community:
“Mrs. Wilson is truly someone who works tirelessly behind the scenes, often without recognition. Our school is better because of her dedication. She has a genuine passion for students and continuously looks for meaningful ways to nurture their curiosity and love for science and math. Year after year, she goes above and beyond to prepare students for success in middle school.”
Principal Blair also highlighted Mrs. Wilson’s leadership outside of academics:
“In addition to her classroom work, Mrs. Wilson leads our Green Team Recycling Club, modeling responsibility and care for our environment. We are so grateful for all that she does for our students at Killearn Lakes Elementary. With her perfect balance of structure and deep passion for helping students reach their full potential, she consistently moves students forward and sees tremendous growth in each of them. Mrs. Wilson is just one example of a truly amazing team member.”
Educators like Mrs. Wilson embody the commitment, heart, and leadership that make Leon County schools so special.
Robert Scott, Partner at Scott & Wallace, shared his appreciation for educators across the district:
“Teachers like Mrs. Wilson are shaping the leaders of tomorrow. At Scott & Wallace, we believe it’s essential to recognize the educators who pour their time, energy, and passion into our children every single day.”
Fellow Partner Clint Wallace echoed that sentiment:
“Our Winning Classroom of the Month program is one of our favorite ways to give back to the community. Mrs. Wilson represents everything that is right about public education—dedication, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to her students.”
Leon County Schools Superintendent Rocky Hanna also praised the initiative and the educators it honors:
“Programs like Winning Classroom of the Month shine a light on the incredible work happening in our schools every day. We are grateful to community partners like Scott & Wallace for supporting and celebrating the outstanding educators who make Leon County Schools stronger.”
Mrs. Wilson’s passion, leadership, and commitment to student growth make her more than deserving of this recognition. Scott & Wallace is proud to honor educators like her and will continue celebrating exceptional teachers across Leon County each month.
Congratulations, Mrs. Krista Wilson, and thank you for the lasting impact you make on your students and our community.
