Overview And Experience

Robert Scott is a seasoned trial lawyer, who has devoted his entire practice to serving the injured. In 2010, at the age of 27, Robert founded Scott & Wallace LLP with his law partner, Clint Wallace. In 2012, at the age of 29, Robert obtained his first recovery over $500,000. He tried his first wrongful death case to a jury verdict at the age of 31. At the age of 32, Robert obtained his first multimillion-dollar recovery. In 2021, Robert served as lead counsel and secured a seven-figure verdict for his clients that was rated as one of the top 100 verdicts in Florida that year. Since Scott & Wallace’s inception, Robert has personally resolved thousands of injury and death cases and has recovered over $150 million for his clients. Scott & Wallace has been ranked as one of the top law firms in the country by US News & World Report and Best Lawyers in America.

A former felony prosecutor, Robert is a member of both the Florida Bar and Georgia Bar. He is also a member of the Florida Justice Association, where he is an EAGLE member and the Capital City Justice Association. He graduated with high honors (magna cum laude) from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and is an honors graduate (cum laude) of Florida State University College of Law.

In 2014, at the age of 32, Robert achieved an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating possible. According to Martindale-Hubbell, “AV Preeminent® is a significant rating accomplishment – a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.” From 2019-2022, Robert was annually rated by Super Lawyers®, a peer-reviewed publication, as a Rising Star under 40, a distinction shared by only 2.5% of all qualifying lawyers in Florida. In 2024, his first year eligible, Robert was selected by Super Lawyers® in the field of personal injury, a list composed of only 5% of all practicing lawyers in Florida regardless of field or specialty. Since 2021, Robert has been included in Best Lawyers®, a peer-reviewed publication recognizing the top 5% of lawyers in the United States in private practice. He is also a member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum® and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum®. He is rated Superb (10.0) by the popular lawyer rating website, Avvo.

Robert continues to be very involved in the firm’s charitable efforts. Of note, Scott & Wallace annually funds the Scott & Wallace Holiday Turkey Giveaway, which feeds over 200 families during the Christmas season, the ‘Winning Classrooms’ initiative in partnership with Leon County Schools, the Conley Elementary Food Pantry, and the Taylor Moseley Memorial Scholarship at Lincoln High School. The firm also continues to make significant financial contributions to many local charities and altruistic causes in the communities it serves.

Finally, as a proud alumnus, Robert is honored that Scott & Wallace has entered a multiyear partnership with Florida State University Athletics as the Official Law Firm of the Florida State Seminoles®. Robert resides in Tallahassee with his wife, Darby, and their two children, Tatum and Bodie.
