It’s been twelve years since the Tallahassee community and Lincoln High School lost Taylor Moseley—a bright, compassionate young woman with a heart for service and a dream of becoming a nurse. In the wake of that tragedy, Scott & Wallace had the honor of representing Taylor’s family and walking alongside them through unimaginable grief. From that journey, a powerful legacy was born.
Each year, the Taylor Moseley Memorial Scholarship, endowed by Scott & Wallace, is awarded to a Lincoln High School senior who embodies the same compassion, drive, and commitment to serving others that defined Taylor’s life. This year, we are proud to announce the 2025 recipient: Julianna Averett.
Julianna will attend Tallahassee State College this fall with plans to pursue a career in nursing.
“Taylor’s story left a permanent mark on our firm and on my heart,” said Robert Scott, partner at Scott & Wallace. “She was one of those rare individuals whose spirit inspired everyone around her. It means so much to us to carry on her dream by helping students like Julianna take the next step toward careers in service.”
Clint Wallace, partner at Scott & Wallace, added: “This scholarship is more than financial support—it’s a symbol of hope, resilience, and legacy. We are honored to recognize Julianna and help support the incredible future she is building.”
For Julianna, the scholarship is deeply meaningful.
“I’ve always wanted to be a nurse because I want to care for people the way others have cared for my family,” said Julianna Averett. “Receiving this scholarship in Taylor’s name is an incredible honor. I hope to make her proud and carry on her legacy through the work I do.”
As Taylor’s memory continues to inspire young people in our community, Scott & Wallace remain committed to investing in local students and keeping her dream alive—one scholarship at a time.
