Overview And Experience
A Tallahassee native, Matthew obtained his bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from Florida State University. During part of his time at FSU College of Law, he served as the judicial clerk for the Honorable Charles A. Francis, the Chief Judge of the 2nd Judicial Circuit. Matthew began his legal career at Coppins Monroe, P.A., where he defended businesses and government entities against claims of discrimination, harrassment, retaliation, and violations of both state and federal employee protection laws. Most recently, Matthew worked with the Civil Justice & Claims Subcommittee and the Judiciary Committee of the Florida House of Representatives.
Matthew joined Scott & Wallace in 2018, and now leads the firm’s Employment & Labor Law Division. His practice is dedicated to representing employees in a variety of employment claims, as well as injured workers and their families in workers’ compensation claims.
Matthew resides in Tallahassee.
